Learner
(NVQs) National Vocational Qualifications are Nationally recognised awards based
on standards that have been approved by industry and are particularly suitable for
development of learner/employees of all ages.
NVQs at levels 1 to 5 are a measure of the competence of the learner/employee throughout
a range of areas and are classified as ‘units of competence’. They offer a means
of identifying the skills learners and employees have and any gaps that need to
be filled. Assessments are carried out in the workplace by one of our many professional
assessor/training officers, observing workplace activity and reviewing historical
evidence.
Our (14-16) Young Apprenticeship, (16-24) Mainstream Apprenticeships and (25+) Adult
Apprenticeships all include funding support for the delivery of NVQs, Key Skills
and Technical certificates and our 19+ Adult programme ‘Train to Gain’ is funded
for the delivery of NVQ and Skills for Life
